Artist's Comments

"It began with walk along the dock, just me and him. This was the moment I had dreamt about since I was a little girl. Just the two of us, arm in arm, looking out over the calm ocean. But it was more than your typical scene. A hazy aura had fallen over the area, and the sky seemed to swell in time with my emotion. 'Yes,' I thought as I swirled my glass in my hand. 'This is where I want to spend the rest of my days. Right here with you.' "

Dedicated to Blaire. This is for you.

Ok, so stats on this? Rendered twice, because my brothers lost the save button the first time around. Time and quads down below. The title comes from a morphing of Champaign, another word for field, which is what Blaire means. I was working on the postwork for this as I talked to her, and decided that I wanted to give it to her. Something you can't put a price on. And that's true, because the way I worked, I can't make this available for print.

The original render was cropped significantly after I couldn't make the cloud formations above the sun look decent. So the disappeared. It really helped the composition, too. Postwork took forever, all in all, because of everything I tried. And there's a fair bit of water that I redid.

 sxc.hu & maybe ~meta474. I worked with a fair number of planets recently, and remember saving one of his, so that may be it. Comments, crits and favs appreciated. Especially critiques. I want this to be worthy of actually being given to someone. So it may show up in your inboxes a few times.

Edit: Changed the forground, adding the couple described and got rid of the bridge. Thanks again to sxc.hu. And if this shows up again, Sorry: I wanted to add on that if you see the water as slightly blurred, that's from my "romantic effect" I apply. Unfortunately, I've lost my original source files.

Edit Pt. 2: Bahaha, you get to see this again :P I've found the original world files for this one (almost by accident) so when I turn 18 (at the time of writing, that is...6 months, 1 week, 2 days and a couple hours) this will be available for purchase :boogie: This also means that I can better fix all the stupid little idiosyncratic errors in it. I really like this manip, as far as I can see there are no flaws at all! :eager:

So, the pose between the two lovers is great, even though they are silhouetted you can imagine what's going on. :flirty:

The moon just adds that extra bit to the picture, although there isn't much of a reflection on the water :shakefist: And if the sun WAS that close it would be brighter! Lol =p Something to think about ;)

But honestly, this is quite a cool piece. Red being the "romantic" colour, it looks great in this scene.

Well donate... word word word word word.

This is great but if you want to go the extra mile and make this REALLY great before you give it to someone, I would go back and put a little more detail into the bridge. It's really beautiful just as is though and I would be really happy if someone spent that much time making something that nice for me! :w00t:

It's amazing that this is the first piece I've seen like this. lol. Only thing I can suggest is have somone leaning on the raling looking out to sea. :)

To start off with, I liked the picture. It was a nice choice of colors. The only thing that I was iffy about if I liked it was the bridge. I'm not sure if it really fits to have the bridge be so made up of such light colors when it's on the dark side of the scene. The angle and texture also seem just a bit off but I'm not sure how big of a deal that is. Good picture overall.

I already talked about the bridge :P

It's a simple question, Doctor: If the moon was made of ribs, would you eat it?! It's not rocket science; answer yes so we can move on.

yeah really nice atmo, I usually don't like high-contrast clouds (thick clouds with a lot of sunlight pouring through) but here, they look really good
